TradingView is the undisputed king of charting platforms with 100M+ registered users and ~2.1M paid subscribers, making it the #1 investing website by traffic. Its combination of best-in-class charting, the Pine Script programming language, and the largest community of traders and indicator developers makes it an indispensable tool for every serious trader.
The platform offers 100+ built-in indicators and drawing tools, powerful stock/crypto/forex screeners, customizable alerts (20-1,000 depending on plan), multi-chart layouts (2-16 charts per tab), strategy backtesting via Pine Script, paper trading, bar replay, volume profile, and direct broker integration. The free tier is genuinely useful, and community-contributed indicators — including many AI-powered ones from LuxAlgo, Zeiierman, and Chart Prime — number in the tens of thousands.
TradingView's ecosystem is its greatest strength. Pine Script enables anyone to build, share, and monetize custom indicators and strategies, creating a virtuous cycle of innovation. The platform's social features let traders share ideas, follow top analysts, and learn from the community. With support for stocks, crypto, forex, futures, and bonds across 150+ exchanges, TradingView is truly universal. It scores 4.5/5 on G2 and has become the foundation that the entire AI trading indicator industry builds upon.

Pine Script v6 is incredibly powerful. I've coded custom indicators that would cost hundreds on other platforms. The community scripts library has over 100,000 free indicators. For a swing trader working across stocks, forex, and crypto, TradingView is the one platform that covers everything. 100M users can't be wrong.
The charting is simply the best in the industry. 50+ drawing tools, every indicator imaginable, and the multi-chart layouts let me monitor 8 pairs simultaneously on my ultrawide monitor. I trade forex on the 1H and 4H and the platform handles everything I need flawlessly.
TradingView's social features and idea sharing are underrated. Following experienced traders and seeing their chart analysis with annotations has accelerated my learning curve. The paper trading feature is great for testing strategies risk-free before going live.
Server-side alerts are what keep me on TradingView. I've set up over 40 alerts across different stocks and crypto pairs with complex conditions using Pine Script. They fire reliably even when my computer is off. The webhook integration lets me pipe alerts directly to my Discord server.
The screener functionality covers stocks, forex, and crypto all in one platform. I use the technical screener daily to find oversold setups with bullish divergence across 8,000+ stocks. Combined with the charting tools, I never need to leave TradingView for my entire workflow.
Excellent platform for crypto trading. Real-time data from every major exchange, on-chain metrics for Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the heatmap feature gives me a visual overview of the entire market in seconds. Pine Script backtesting has helped me refine my mean reversion strategy on altcoins.
The free tier is very limited — only 2 indicators per chart, 1 alert, no multi-timeframe layouts. To get the full experience you need Premium at $60/month. Also, the platform can lag on lower-end hardware when you load multiple charts with heavy Pine Script indicators. Great tool, but the pricing tiers feel restrictive.
Replay mode is fantastic for practicing trading without risking money. I can go back to any date and replay the market bar by bar on the 5-minute chart. Combined with Pine Script strategy tester showing exact entry/exit points and P&L, it's the most complete platform for developing and testing trading strategies.
I manage a small fund and we standardized on TradingView for all our chart analysis. The broker integration lets us execute trades directly from charts. Pine Script strategies running on server-side alerts give us systematic coverage across 200+ instruments. The team sharing features on Premium are worth every cent.
