Powerful platform but definitely aimed at developers. If you can code, QuantConnect gives you institutional-grade backtesting and live trading for a fraction of the cost.
The LEAN engine is impressive and the community is active. Documentation could be better organized but the forums make up for it. Multi-asset backtesting is a huge plus.
Been building strategies on QuantConnect for 8 months. The free tier is generous and the Alpha Streams marketplace is an interesting concept. Steep learning curve but rewarding.
